 Jami's Corner...

​ Thank you for visiting our web page! I am Melany Jane Cassady Ratto, the middle child of Neal and Carolyn Cassady. I have been married to Randy Ratto for 40 years....we actually got married on Neal's birthday, Feb. 8, 1975. We have one child, Rebecca Elizabeth and 3 grandchildren, Bradley, Elizabeth and Elliott.


I retired after 45 years in dentistry, since January 2015.  I live in a beautiful coastal village in Northern California.  I was born in San Francisco and grew up in Los Gatos. Randy and I have been studying the Beat legacy for about 15 years and are now devoted to keeping the Beat Inspiration of the Cassady Estate alive and well. It is truly a remarkable legacy and I am very blessed to be a part of it.
My parents gave me unlimited access to all aspects of the arts, philosophy, spirituality, literature, dance and painting over the years. 


I am also very blessed to be a part of the Cassady Clan with my older sister, Cathy, and my younger brother, John.
